BAFTA Renames Award For Cubby Broccoli

La, October 11, 2011 — The British Academy of Film and tv Arts La (BAFTA La) introduced today that it's going to relabel its Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Shot Entertainment in recognition of Albert R. Cubby Broccoli, pioneering producer in the Jason Bourne franchise. The initial Cubby Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Shot Entertainment is going to be presented to Academy Award champion John Lasseter within the 2011 BAFTA La Britannia Honours on Wednesday, November 30 within the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Cubby Broccoli was the Britannias initial honoree when the honours were originated from over 2 decades ago, states Nigel Lythgoe, Chairman of BAFTA La. By creating a global phenomenon while using longest-running film series in cinema history, Cubbys legacy demonstrates just what the Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution means. We are grateful to Michael G Wilson, Barbara Broccoli as well as the Broccoli Foundation for generous support, and so are delighted to supply this award in Cubbys recognition.
